The Morrison Room brief was to create the fine dining experience within the overall hotel offer of fine dining, all-day bistro, golf club and the conference & event dining. Located at the end of an enfilade of formal reception rooms, the dining room of the Dukes of Leinster now forms one of the finest rooms in Ireland to eat in.
Dark walls and heavy modern curtains were removed to expose incredible carved details on shutter cases and architraves. Custom handprinted wallpaper using historic paint and metallic inks went through seventeen different colour samples to exactly match the ornate plaster ceiling dating from 1815. Custom seating in historically accurate upholstery patterns on thick new carpets with dimmable chandeliers complete the ambience.
This is now a true celebratory space, epic in the scale and richness of its interior decorations, beautifully lit, while affording unencumbered views and access to the estate parkland outside. The room is complimented by the visually stunning and imaginative tasting menu, which draws on fine Irish local and foraged ingredients to showcase IrelandÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s most talented and dedicated artisan producers.
